Welcome to the A.J.D Stone Website! A.J.D Stone Restoration, based in Paisley  has been trading for more than 20 years and are specialists in all forms of stone cleaning and restoration. We work in all kinds of natural stone such as sandstone and granite and in synthetic composites such as brick and concrete. We cover all areas of Glasgow, Central and West Scotland and have undertaken a number of works in East Scotland / Aberdeenshire. When cleaning we follow guidelines set out by the Historic Scotland manual “Stone Cleaning—A Guide For Practitioners” whether undertaking a simple algae wash or a deep clean of heavily soiled stone our emphasis is to avoid, as much as possible, causing further erosion or damage. All our materials, whether we are pointing or applying render repairs, allow for the free flow of moisture from the substrate of the stone. This reduces the damage which has been so destructive in restoration projects of this kind in the past.
